Dawesome LOVE 2: More Granular Power
Dawesome LOVE 2 is the latest version of the versatile granular multi-effects plugin with a curated range of over 20 distinctive effects modules.
The German software company Dawesome Music was founded in 2019 by musician, developer, and mathematician Peter Vorländer. With its range of visually enriched instruments and effects, you can expect interfaces and sound engines that favour electronic music production and sound design.

In its latest iteration, the LOVE 2 plugin has been updated with a drag-and-drop interface. This enables you to create complex processing chains with six effects slots using over 20 effects modules (15+ new modules). In version 2, there is also the ability to change the processing order of your six chosen modules, so you can edit your chain at any stage.
In addition, there are over 100 new presets, which brings the total to over 250. With these flexible new features, you have a wide scope of sounds to use as starting points, and the drag-and-drop system makes it easier than ever. For greater precision, each module has its own set of module-specific presets, a deeper set of parameters, and a wet/dry mix control.
Among the modules are the J-60 Chorus, an emulation of the built-in chorus effect from the classic Roland JUNO-60 synthesizer, the Loophole creative rhythmic micro-looper, the 80s Reverb module, the Orbit modulation effect, and the Sweet harmonic enhancer. Overall, Dawsome Music has improved the LOVE platform significantly, making it a far more flexible tool for mixing and music production, as well as sound design. The combination of bread-and-butter processing tools and creative sound mangling effects makes this an exciting update. Does this mean LOVE’s alter-ego HATE is getting an update soon? We hope so!
