Stingray Gold
These two StingRay bass models celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ernie Ball Music Man classic.
Liquid Gold, limited to just 50 hand-numbered instruments worldwide, features a golden reflective pickguard and matching paint job for an exclusive all-over shiny gold look. Molten Gold is limited to 300 instruments and showcases a shimmering metallic gold finish and headstock.
50th Anniversary
Of course, both models also have matching gold hardware throughout, including the control plates, knobs, the Vintage Music Man top-loaded bridge with a 50th Anniversary engraving, and the Custom Music Man tuners with tapered posts.
Silky Smooth
They feature the standard 5-bolt neck joint with a sculpted neck heel for great upper-fret access.
Both models feature a roasted figured maple 34″ scale-length neck with an ebony 11″ radius fretboard with gold dot inlays, glow-in-the-dark side dots, and matching painted headstocks.
The necks are finished with gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend, so they will be silky smooth to the touch. They are both fitted with 22 high-profile, medium-width stainless steel frets, which will make them play beautifully.
Humbucking
Each model is outfitted with the Music Man 3-band active preamp with 18 volts of headroom and controls for volume, treble, mid, and bass. A single Music Man humbucking pickup with gold pole pieces using Neodymium magnets delivers the tones and gives players the classic StingRay voice.
Preorder Limited Run
Each 50th Anniversary StingRay is crafted with a 50th-anniversary silkscreen print on the back of the headstock. Both basses come in a deluxe hardshell case and with a certificate of authenticity. The Liquid Gold edition can only be ordered directly from Music Man.
