Yamaha shows Revstar RSP20B 60th Anniversary Edition and new colors in the Standard Series!

Yamaha Revstar RSP20B 60th Anniversary Edition
The new Yamaha Revstar RSP20B 60th Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition model created to celebrate Yamaha Guitars’ 60th anniversary, combining traditional Revstar elements with high-quality details. It is based on a chambered mahogany body with a flamed maple top, common to the Revstar Professional series. That is complemented by carbon reinforcements in the body and neck for improved resonance and balance.

In terms of hardware, a Goldo G5 tremolo and Gotoh locking tuners ensure rock-solid tuning and reliable performance. The gold-colored hardware looks super slick, especially when paired with the Noble Black Burst finish. The Yamaha Revstar RSP20B also comes with two custom Alnico V humbuckers, a five-way switch, and push/pull on the tone control.
However, this is not a coil splitter, but a so-called focus switch, that, when activated, makes the signal more mid-heavy. Other features include the three-piece mahogany neck and the rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo stainless steel frets. Check it out at Thomann*!
New Colors for Yamaha Revstar Standard
The manufacturer unveiled new colors for the well-known, extremely popular Yamaha Revstar Standard series in the fall of 2025. The RSS20 version with humbuckers is available in the new colors Mist Green and Sonic Blue.
And if you’re into P90 sounds, you’ll find three new colors in the RSS20 P90 series. These are Sonic Blue, Vintage White, and Fire Red. The components themselves remain the same across all models: the aforementioned focus switch is included via push/pull on the tone control, and the P90 models feature a five-way switch.
