AKG C-Series: Redefining Affordable Recording
A new range of budget mics from a trusted source.

The AKG C-Series is a range of three new condenser mics for recording applications, with large-diaphragm, multipattern, and small-diaphragm options.
If you’ve seen renowned AKG mics like the C414, you’ll notice that the new C104 and C114 have a familiar look to them, drawing from the company’s rich recording legacy.
AKG C-Series
The C104 is a cardioid mic with a 22 mm electret condenser diaphragm, which can be used in a wide range of applications. Besides recording vocals and using it for content creation, the C104 is an excellent choice for acoustic guitar, guitar amp, and other instruments like brass, strings, and woodwinds.
Its multipattern counterpart, the C114, is a pressure gradient condenser with a 26mm dual diaphragm, which expands its recording utility through the additional omnidirectional and figure-of-8 pickup patterns. This enables you to use the C114 in stereo overhead and mid-side configurations, for capturing drum ambience, or detail when working with instrumental or vocal ensembles.
Last but not least is the C151, which is a small-diaphragm electret condenser with a 16mm diaphragm. Its design combines the cardioid capsule with transformerless FET circuitry for capturing the realism of any performance. The C151 is excellent for use in stereo XY and ORTF configurations for recording acoustic instruments.
Overall, the C Series presents musicians with some excellent options for capturing sound in any environment. As AKG is one of the most trusted names in microphone technology, you can certainly trust the sound quality, and the affordable pricing makes these mics accessible to a wide range of users.
