Taylor Next Generation Brings New Pickup System and Improved Bracing
New pickup system, improved bracing, and Action Control Neck!

We’re slowly moving towards NAMM 2026, and every major guitar manufacturer is presenting what’s in stock for 2026. With Taylor Next Generation, the acoustic guitar maker is releasing an evolution of 2025’s Gold Label releases. These new models come with an upgraded bracing, the Action Control Neck we’ve come to love and a newly-developed pickup system.
What’s new with Taylor Next Generation?

There are three key upgrades that make perfect sense. The new Taylor Next Generation guitars are manufactured with scalloped V-Class bracing, feature the Action Control Neck we’ve seen in many of 2025’s Taylor releases, and are also equipped with a new Claria pickup system.
Taylor claims that New Generation’s improved V-Class bracing “enhances the top movement and responsiveness.” This in turn allows for warmer tones and richer, more powerful-sounding open chords. With the Action Control Neck, you get two advantages: a fuller, more resonant sound and easier string height adjustability.
How does the new Claria pickup system differ from other pickup systems for acoustic guitar?
The most notable new feature of Taylor New Generation for these new models is the new Claria pickup system. You get a pair of undersaddle pickups in combination with a new proprietary preamp that, Taylor says, will greatly improve sonics for PAs and amps.
Claria not only comes with an enhanced sound and build quality, but it also offers all the controls you’d want for an acoustic pickup system to dial in your sound. While it’s meant to sound great from the get-go in pure “plug and play” fashion, you can change Claria’s output volume and get closer to your desired sound with controls for Tone and Mid-Contour. These are all mounted directly around the sound hole, so they’re easy to reach.

Which new models are part of the Taylor New Generation release?
As far as availability goes, there are six new models ready for order at Thomann* in a variety of colors. These are either part of the Standard series or the higher-quality Builder’s Edition. Every model comes in Grand Auditorium, Taylor’s biggest guitar size, and a cutaway body shape.
The biggest release within Taylor Next Generation is the 814ce line, Thomann stocks six different models. These are all part of the Builder’s Edition and each order includes a Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case. They’re priced between 4,499 euros* and 5,999 euros*.
314ce, 324ce, 414ce and much more!
Besides this series, Taylor Next Generation includes new models in their popular 314, 324 and 414 lines. Each models comes with the new bracing, Action Control Neck, and the Claria pickup system as well.
