The REVV D20 MK2, the latest update to the D20 platform, brings fresh momentum. With new switching options, integrated reverb, and optimized sound settings, the amp is better than ever. Let’s take a closer look at the upgrades

REVV D20 MK2

The REVV D20 MK2 has an elegant, boutique-like design. Inside, it has two 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6V6 power tubes. Its ability to switch between 20 W and 4 W provides the appropriate volume for different situations.

The front panel has controls for gain, treble, midrange, bass, volume, reverb, and level. The amplifier is also equipped with a bright switch and a gain boost switch, which increases the variety of sounds even further. These features make the D20 MK2 ideal for clean and slightly distorted sounds. The “D” in the name stands for dynamics and an organic playing feel. The D20 Mk2 is the ideal platform, especially when used with a pedalboard.

Then there’s the integrated Two Notes Torpedo technology, which features a reactive load and an impulse response XLR output ideal for live performances and recordings. The D20 MK2 is extremely versatile, offering six virtual cabinet presets accessible via a rotary switch, Two Notes software for extensive editing, and the option to use 128 presets via MIDI.

You can conveniently adjust power amp simulation, EQ, and more via Two Notes software using USB editing. A phones out is also available. The cabinet and XLR outputs can be used simultaneously or independently. REVV has really thought of everything.

Price and Availability

The REVV D20 MK2 features a new, compact Tolex headshell. This amp is packed with the best guitar sounds and contemporary features. The manufacturer (at Thomann*) lists the price at $1,349.00. Considering the enormous value it offers, this price seems entirely justified. We will let you know here at Gearnews as soon as the amp is available.
