RYK Modular Time Slice Is a 4-Channel Eurorack Looper That’ll Make Your Head Spin
4-Channel Audio Looper with Comprehensive CV Control

Time Slice by RYK Modular is a 4-channel audio looper for Eurorack. But that’s just scratching the surface: Time Slice can also pitch-shift, delay, and bend your loops into oblivion, all with comprehensive CV control.
RYK Modular Time Slice
Whenever RYK Modular introduces a new module, you can be sure it’s something unique and exciting. From the Eurorack remake of the legendary M185 sequencer to the Vector Wave synth voice to the Night Rider quad resonator, RYK modules have always brought something new and inspiring to the table. I’m also a huge fan of the RYK philosophy of visualizing complex processes using numerous strategically placed LEDs. The modules not only look great, they also tell you instinctively what’s going on. The same applies to Time Slice, the manufacturer’s latest creation.

In the simplest sense, Time Slice is a 4-channel audio looper. Each track holds about 3 minutes of audio material, and you can import and export the buffer content via USB. While the four tracks are mono, you can link them in pairs to make two stereo tracks.
Each track can have a different length, and you can use CV or MIDI to trigger, slice, reverse, and modulate them to your heart’s content. As each track is equipped with its own set of audio and CV inputs and outputs, there are many opportunities for creative cross-patching between channels. That alone would be enough to make this a must-have module for anyone who likes to experiment with loops.
But Time Slice can do more. In addition, each track features a high-quality pitch shifter inspired by the famous Eventide H3000. This means that you can vary the speed of the loops without affecting their pitch, and vice versa. It can also filter and recycle the audio material, effectively forming a filtered delay line. “F**k with time”, as RYK Modular puts it. Excellent stuff!
