Riding the ever-growing wave of vinyl fanaticism, Reloop has borrowed the features from its popular standard-size RP series turntables in the development of the new RP-7, which also has a few unique touches of its own.

The RP-7 is equipped with a straight copper tonearm, which provides accurate tracking, while the rubberised internal damping keeps resonance and vibration to a minimum. The familiar design of the height-adjustable base structure has its roots in the RP-7000 MK2 and RP-8000 MK2 turntables. Meanwhile, the RP-7 is statically balanced, so you won’t need to take anti-skating measures.

More Information

This makes it straightforward to set up for a gig at your next event and ensures the consistency of the audio performance. In addition, the RP-7’s DC motor is newly designed with a high torque rating of 2.5 kg/cm, while the carefully tuned motor reduces any wow and flutter. Overall, the system is robust and built for the demands of professional DJing, allowing cueing and scratching as you’d expect from a pro turntable.

The RP-7 supports 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records, and its pitch control slider has three different range settings (± 8%, ± 16%, or ± 35%). This makes the RP-7 ideal for a wide range of music styles, and you can easily incorporate it in your workflow as a sample-based beatmaker.

One of the most interesting things about the RP-7 is its RCA outputs, which can be switched from Phono to Line. This means you can plug and play in situations where you don’t have a dedicated phono preamp.
