Mesa Boogie Bass 800D
This new modern take on a classic Mesa bass head has had some revisions for 2025 and now comes with a streamlined control layout. Unlike the 400+, the Mesa Boogie Bass 800D does away with the graphic EQ in favour of a more intuitive user interface. Instead, it uses simple, relevant switches that have proven their worth in the Subway series.
Use the LOW/HIGH preamp gain switches to dial in your desired drive, while the DEEP and BRIGHT switches let you quickly adjust your tonal character. Plus, a dedicated HIGH-PASS knob helps you filter out muddy sub-lows, keeping your bass line tight and articulate.
The standard Master, Gain, High Pass, Bass, Middle, and Treble control knobs are laid out neatly and should be easy to use for dialing in your core bass tone.
Tube Preamp
This hybrid amp pairs a 12AT7 preamp tube with an 800-watt Class D power amplifier that can handle 4 or 2 ohms (400 watts at 8 ohms). It includes modern connectivity like speakON speaker outputs with a secure locking mechanism, a switch for 2, 4, or 8 ohm impedance, and a serial FX loop.
Connectivity
This amp is packed with modern features, including a DI out with speaker simulation, a headphone output, and jacks for AUX IN and TUNER OUT. You also get a remote mute jack and a USB device power jack.
