IK Multimedia MODO is brewing up some physical modelling
1,0 / 5,0 | IK Multimedia get the tease machine working with hints at something called MODO that is undoubtedly going to be extraordinary. It will be a breakthrough in something never experienced a this kind of level. We love all this nonsense!

Anyway, it’s called MODO and they say it represents “a breakthrough in physical instrument modelling”. IK are of course famous for their amp modelling software and judging by the prominent bass guitar strings in the promotional tease video they are probably about to give us a virtual bass guitar. There’s also plenty of guitar on the track and some suspiciously live sound drums – maybe it’s going to be an entire physically modelled band.
Could be? It’s taken them 8 years to make – a physically modelled bass guitar probably sound like a cool idea back then (ba-dum-tsh!). And they’ve been working with one of the oldest European universities – although I’m not sure why that’s important. All will be revealed on the 18th October. In the meantime “get ready for a new level of realism” in their teaser video. IK Multimedia website is here but has no information on it as yet.
