Harrison 3D Delay
From doubling to classic slapback echo effects and animated multi-tap delay rhythms, 3D Delay is a useful plugin for instantly adding depth to any instrument in your mix. When dealing with vocals, 3D delay can emphasize certain phrases to make them immediately stand out. Meanwhile, you can also add character to melodic guitar or synth parts.
Each of the three delay taps can be panned and assigned to its own time value, and you can use the modulation and damping controls to replicate sounds from some of the legendary digital delay units from the 1980s. To get you started, there are 10 presets for different applications, and the high-pass and low-pass filters allow you to set the frequency range to match your mix.
With the ability to sync to your DAW tempo or tap in the feel you like, 3D Delay can achieve an ultra-precise feel with the snap to 16th note function or a more varied sound, and there are extensive feedback controls to shape the regeneration over time. The Feedback LRC knob, for example, lets you channel the feedback from the center to the left and right channels or vice-versa, which is a nice touch.
Overall, the 3D Delay offers a few features you won’t find on the stock delay plugin in your DAW, making it a useful addition.
