Gretsch Broadcaster LX: New 2026 Flame Maple
Broadkaster Jr. LX Center Block and Broadkaster LX Center Block
The new Gretsch Broadcaster LX Collection adds two new figured maple-top models to the lineup: the Broadkaster Jr. LX Center Block and the Broadkaster LX Center Block.
Broadcaster LX Collection
The new Gretsch Broadkaster Jr. LX Center Block and Broadkaster LX Center Block expand the Broadcaster LX Collection and bring a flame maple body to the lineup. They both come with gold hardware throughout and are fitted with a String-thru Bigsby B7GP vibrato tailpiece.
Finish Options
The Broadkaster LX Center Block is available in either Havana Burst or Bourbon Stain finishes, whilst the Broadkaster Jr. LX Center Block is offered in either Tropic Aura or Caramel Dawn.
Construction
As with the rest of this range, the Broadkaster Jr. LX has a single-cutaway body, whereas the Broadkaster LX has a double-cutaway body. Both models feature Gretsch’s updated Channel Core center block, which they state blends maple and spruce to deliver a faster attack and a more aggressive midrange punch.
The heart of both instruments is their Standard “U” maple neck, offering a familiar, sturdy grip across a 24.6″ scale. The ebony fretboard features a 12″ radius and rolled edges for maximum comfort, while 22 medium jumbo frets and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots provide precision and visibility in any lighting.
Both come with an Australian blackwood headcap, a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, and a set of Gotoh locking tuners.
Pro Twin Six
Gretsch has fitted both models with a pair of their Pro Twin Six humbucking pickups. Each has its own dedicated pickup volume and a treble-bleed master volume that keeps your tone crisp even when rolled back.
The master no-load tone control stays completely out of the circuit when wide open, utilising a “Squeezebox” capacitor (marketing speak) to deliver what they describe as smooth, high-fidelity roll-offs.
Price & Availability
Both models are high-end Japanese builds with an official MSRP of 3.349 € / £2,969 / $3,333 each. If you like flame maple and gold hardware, these new Gretsch additions to the lineup could be just what you are looking for. Get both at Thomann*.
