Signature Pedal

This signature pedal, meticulously designed by Mike Fortin, draws its inspiration from the fabled Fortin Meshuggah amplifier head – a rare and highly sought-after tube amp considered a “holy grail” by countless metal guitar players.

Initially designed in 2016, the Fortin Meshuggah head was conceived as the definitive amplifier to capture the diverse sonic evolution of the band, serving as the tonal cornerstone for both Fredrik Thordendal and Mårten Hagström.

Heavy Tones

Fortin Amps assures users that the tone and, crucially, the feel of the pedal are strikingly similar to the amplifier. Their FAQs even suggest that when paired with the power section of a Meshuggah amp or impulse responses from the Neural DSP Nameless X suite, the tonal differences are “extremely hard to hear.”

It is equipped with a highly interactive 3-band EQ, allowing for precise frequency sculpting with both cut and boost capabilities. The layout features two footswitchable channels and offers Hi and Lo gain modes that work in conjunction with the Master Volume Control (MVC) to provide a broad spectrum of gain textures.
