Rabea gets two new EBMM models launched at NAMM

Ernie Ball Music Man has officially launched Rabea Massaad’s long-awaited Artist Series models. Available in two distinct looks, the Vileblood and Frenzied Flame finishes.
Rabea Massaad Signature Sabre
At the end of 2023, guitarist Rabea Massaad teased his signature Sabre models in a YouTube video. Now, Ernie Ball Music Man has crafted two stunning guitars for him, available in Vileblood Burst and Frenzied Flame finishes. These models, reflecting Rabea’s unique style, showcase the brand’s commitment to quality and design.
Custom Specifications
Rabea has specified a custom tapered neck carve and they also have a recessed lower horn to improve access to the upper frets, along with an arm bevel for enhanced comfort, These Sabre models also feature Massaad’s signature Bare Knuckle Silo humbuckers. They also have push-push coil splits for single-coil tones, so these guitars are tonally pretty versatile.
Light & Dark
The Vileblood Burst model (the darker of the two) is available from retailers including Thomann, whilst the Frenzied Flame Burst, is exclusively available directly from the Music Man Vault. The fretboards are detailed with distinctive doughnut inlays and Luminlays side dots. Speaking of fretboards, ebony is used for the Vileblood model and flamed maple for the lighter Frenzied Flame Bust.
Both versions come with an EBMM trem system and have black hardware throughout. Great looking guitars, and I think Rabea has made a quality, professional instrument with his subtle, yet worthwhile tweaks to the classic Sabre formula.
NAMM Launch
Ernie Ball Music Man will be at NAMM 2024 at booth #5620 and these will be ones to check out if you are at the show. I get the feeling that these new models will be very popular this year, Hopefully, we may also see a Sterling version of these models in the future, which will provide a similar experience at a more accessible price point. As Rabea has mentioned he wants to make an affordable version of these.
