The IK Multimedia ARC STUDIO Plus is a new hardware-based speaker calibration system with digital I/O and a dedicated subwoofer output.
The ARC STUDIO Plus adds a new calibration method that works as a standalone device – that means without a computer connected! Simply plug in the ARC measurement mic that ships with the unit, and you can immediately create a calibration profile based on the acoustic response of your listening environment.

If your studio requires a more precise calibration profile, however, you can use the bundled ARC X software to analyse your room in greater detail and build a custom correction curve to suit your specific needs. Another feature the ARC STUDIO Plus adds is a dedicated subwoofer output with integrated smart management, which automatically fixes phase alignment and optimizes the crossover.
This cuts down the time you might have spent making these adjustments manually, and the result is a cohesive and precise monitoring system that delivers a low-end you can rely on. As multichannel monitoring systems for immersive mixing often use digital inputs, the ARC Studio Plus features both S/PDIF I/O and USB-C input.
This allows you to send digital signals directly to your monitors without using an additional conversion stage, so you can ensure the best audio quality. Meanwhile, on the analog side of things, there are balanced XLR combo inputs and XLR outputs to connect to your audio interface or studio monitor controller.
Running separately from your native CPU means you gain the advantage of close to zero-latency audio performance, and as your CPU load can vary from one DAW session to the next, this is useful. Also, with the three SCENE buttons on the front panel, you can select different listening positions, switch monitor emulation modes, or change custom monitor profiles.
