Harley Benton launches 3 T-Style Vibrato Models
TE-52 and TE-62 models get a factory fitted TS01 B-Style vibrato
Harley Benton has announced three new T-Style guitars, all with vintage-style vibratos: the TE-52 Tremolo NA, TE-62CC Tremolo LPB, and TE-62DB Tremolo BK.
T-Style Vibrato Models
If you like a bit of vintage twang, these three new Harley Benton models will be perfect for you. The TE-52 Tremolo NA, TE-62CC Tremolo LPB, and the TE-62DB Tremolo BK all come equipped with a TS01 B-Style vibrato and offer a subtle shimmer for chords and lead work.
Adding a vintage-style vibrato to the popular TE-52 and TE-62 models is a great move and gives guitarists a great upgrade on these affordable, and already popular Harley Davidson models.
TE-52 Tremolo NA
First up is the TE-52 Tremolo NA, which is the powerhouse of the trio, built with an American ash body and finished in high-gloss natural. This will help showcase the wood’s grain and give this guitar a classic ’50s look.
It features a bolt-on caramelized Canadian maple neck with a comfortable C-shape profile and a matching maple fretboard. The 21 medium jumbo frets sit on a 305 mm radius, providing a modern feel to a vintage-style instrument. For electronics, it comes fitted with two Roswell TEA Alnico-5 single-coil pickups controlled by a standard three-way switch, volume, and tone controls.
It has chrome hardware and comes with a set of Kluson-style tuners that ensure tuning stability, even with the TS01 B-Style vibrato.
TE-62CC Tremolo LPB
For those who prefer a solid finish, the TE-62CC Tremolo LPB features a basswood body finished in Lake Placid Blue.
Unlike the TE-52, this model features a modern D-shape neck profile. It shares the caramelized maple neck and fretboard construction but pairs them with a 3-ply mint green pickguard for a retro aesthetic. The sound is driven by a Roswell TEA-F-CR in the neck and a TEA-B in the bridge, offering a glassy, articulate response. It also comes factory-equipped with D’Addario EXL110 strings to complement its smooth vibrato action.
This model is more of a ’60s-looking guitar and quite stylish in the Lake Placid Blue finish.
TE-62DB Tremolo BK
Finally, the TE-62DB Tremolo BK serves as the deluxe option, distinguished by its elegant white double binding on the top and back of its black basswood body. While it shares the modern D-shape neck and Roswell Alnico 5 pickup set with the CC model, it swaps the maple fretboard for laurel, which offers a darker look and, some say, a slightly warmer tonal response.
This is the classy-looking model, so it will appeal to players who like its understated elegance and minimal aesthetic. Sometimes, all you need is some binding to really make a guitar pop, and I think this works well on this new model.
