Nord Electro 7: New Synth Engine, new Organs & More!

Nord Keyboards introduces the Nord Electro 7! The new generation of the popular stage keyboard boasts a new synth engine, new organ models from the Nord Organ 3, and many more improvements.
Nord Electro 7
It’s been a quarter of a century since Clavia invented the modern stage keyboard with the introduction of the original Nord Electro. Now renamed to Nord Keyboards, the Swedish manufacturer presents the latest generation at NAMM 2026. The Nord Electro 7 has been completely overhauled and equipped with the latest sounds and effects from Nord’s portfolio.
As before, the Nord Electro 7 is available in three versions: two organ models with 61 or 73 waterfall keys, and a piano-focused version with 73 hammer-action keys. What’s new is that the Nord Electro 7 HP now also features physical drawbars, which were previously only available on the waterfall key models. The new hammer-action keybed of the HP model is made by Kawai, like the one in the flagship Nord Grand 2 stage piano. All three models also sport a refreshed panel with a large color display and push encoders in the program, piano, and synth sections.
But that’s just the beginning. The organ section of the Nord Electro 7 now includes the same organ models as the Nord Organ 3 (B3, B3 Bass, Vox, Farfisa, Soft B3, Pipe Organs), as well as the corresponding Leslie emulations with three mic positions.

However, the synth engine sees the biggest improvements. It’s been completely overhauled and now features virtual-analog waveforms, FM synthesis, and samples. For sound shaping, there’s a lowpass filter with resonance, a dual envelope for amp and filter/FM, and a vibrato function. You can also now assign the expression pedal to various synth parameters for enhanced real-time control on stage.

The effects section has also been improved and is now available per sound engine. Among the new additions are a new spring reverb, new amp models (Brit, Suitcase), and dedicated rate and amount knobs for both modulation effect slots.
Price and Availability
