Deals of the Week – 25th October, 2025
Behringer Solina String Ensemble & Crave
Always known for great prices on their gear, our affiliate partner is discounting a couple of Behringer synths by even more, so if either of these were on your wish list, now’s the best time to grab them.
First up, we have the Solina String Ensemble, a replica of the classic string machine of the 1970s in a compact desktop format that can also be mounted in a Eurorack case. With 49 voice polyphony, the Solina String Ensemble not only covers string sounds, but also some brass too!

But on its own, the original Solina required some help from effects to really shine, so Behringer has built a BBD chorus and a vintage-style phaser for that real Jean Michel Jarre vibe! There’s plenty of connections too, with MIDI, Trigger and CV all represented.
Then we have the Behringer Crave. This semi-modular desktop analog synth is based around a replica of the CEM3340 VCO and features a 24db/oct. ladder filter, ADSR envelope generator and LFO. The patch panel features 18 inputs and 14 outputs to connect with other gear.

MIDI is also covered via traditional 5-pin MIDI and USB, and the heart of the Crave is the 32-step sequencer with 64 memory locations, and an arpeggiator. The adventurous amongst you might like to try out the polychaining functionality that allows you to link up to 16 Craves together!
The Behringer Solina String Ensemble is currently €189 and the Crave is €138.

Created by award-winning sounds producers Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix and recorded by Professor Keith O. Johnson, this package has been a stalwart amongst composers for years.
And the reason it’s still around today is because it reeks of quality. There are over 124GB of sounds here, covering the whole orchestra. Multiple mic positions have been captured along with a myriad articulations and performances.
If you’ve been looking for a full-on, top-of-the-line orchestral sample library, you’d be crazy not to contemplate this at full price, but now with a 44% discount until the end of October, it is a complete no-brainer!

Universal Audio UAD Ultimate 13
Universal UAD plugins have always been regarded as some of the best outboard plugins available, and that reputation continues to this day. Their Ultimate package is now in its thirteenth iteration and contains no less than 84 product lines, which amount to 120 different plugins.

I’d list them all here, but my dinner is on the go and I just don’t have that long. Plus, my editor will kill me and that’s just not going to happen! Suffice it to say, the list is long and peppered with plugins that emulate the likes of Neve, SSL, API, Avalon, dbx, Moog, Fairchild and more.
The collection also includes six of their instrument plugins, including their Minimoog, B3 organ, PolyMAX synth and the Electra 88 vintage keyboard studio. It really is a most comprehensive package and should cover most, if not all, of your needs.
Grab Universal Audio’s UAD Ultimate 13 suite for just €495, until November 3rd, 2025.
XLN Audio Life
Ever been sat on a train or bus and found rhythm in the everyday noises around you? Or been in the park, listening to nature and heard interesting percussive sounds? Well, with XLN Audio’s Life, you can easily capture them and make a beat with them. And that’s just the start!

Life is one of those slap-yourself-on-the-forehead tools that has you exclaiming, “Why did nobody think of this before!?”. I’m a huge fan of the artist, Burial. His beats are incredibly organic and he creates them by arranging sounds in an old audio editor. I always marvel at the sounds he uses, like he’s lifted them right out of the air of South London at 2 am.
Maybe he’s been secretly using Life? Obviously not, but this would be a super interesting way to try and create beats, rhythms and patterns from the sounds we hear all around us. It comes with a field recorder app for your mobile device, or you can simply drop audio files into the plugin to process.
Life analyses the audio, chops and slices it and then allows you to arrange it in an almost infinite number of ways to come up with a completely unique, personal and individual rhythm for your track. You can export the audio as a single file, stems and MIDI to use directly in your DAW.
It’s a remarkable tool and, until November 3rd, 2025, it’s available with 50% off at just €69!
