Human-Made Content – What Does It Mean?
More and more content is appearing worldwide that is automatically generated by AI tools and published without final review. We are clearly opposed to this trend: On the one hand, for reputational reasons. On the other, because we are aware that while AI tools have advantages, they also pose a threat to musicians who earn their living through their craft.
Real Content From Musicians, FOH Engineers, Sound Designers, and More
Music is an emotional subject that should remain centered on people—whether it’s making music, attending concerts, or producing in a studio. It also requires a high level of expertise when writing about it.
That’s why we’ve decided our content will be written exclusively by people, for people. Artificial intelligence cannot judge whether an instrument is easy to play, whether a workflow feels intuitive, or whether a sound resonates from a musician’s perspective.
We therefore fundamentally reject the automatic creation of articles—especially reviews, rankings, workshops, and similar formats. Behind every article we publish stands a real person with their own opinions, shaped by years of experience and expert knowledge.
Does that Mean We don’t Use AI at All?
No, we’re not ruling out AI completely. We will continue reporting on how musicians can use AI to their advantage, since these tools offer creative possibilities worth exploring.
In our editorial workflow, we may occasionally use AI for specific, supportive tasks—such as structural text optimizations, basic translations, error corrections, or short video edits where human-made content is simply condensed. Should our use of AI ever change, we will update this statement accordingly. Transparency is important to us.
However, one thing will not change: articles that rely on personal experience — such as reviews, best-of lists, and buying guides — will always remain 100% human-made.
