Crazy Tube Circuits Mirage: Infinite Reverb Spaces
Mirage with two independent reverb engines
The Crazy Tube Circuits Mirage is a studio-grade reverb, which is designed to work for guitarists, synth players, and sound designers.
Crazy Tube Circuits Mirage
The Mirage reverb system features two independent reverb engines, each offering 16 unique algorithms across two banks. Easily dial in classic sounds like plate, spring, and cathedral, or explore expansive ambient textures with shimmer, modulation, and infinite sustain.
Crazy Tube Circuits makes great effects, so this is going to be a reverb pedal you’ll want to check out, especially if you like creative ambiance, textures, and more. The design also incorporates a
full analog-dry signal path, so it should sound great.
The design allows users to run the engines in series for layered reverbs, split them for stereo processing, or use them as independent mono reverbs. You can even insert other pedals between the engines using the dedicated send and return loop, creating a truly modular reverb experience without the hassle.
Real Time Control
Designed for dynamic performances, the Mirage offers real-time control through its footswitches and expression input.
This means you can effortlessly trigger swells, dynamically shift shimmer textures, or instantly freeze trails during live play. For ultimate customisation, internal switches allow you to precisely adjust bypass behavior, enable kill dry, and configure signal routing to seamlessly integrate with your unique setup.
Controls
Both sides have controls for Volume, Mix, Swell, Excite, and Voice knob (plus a shift switch to toggle between them) that allows you to choose between the voices per side. It features 16 algorithms divided into two easy-to-navigate banks: one for vintage/classic sounds and another for ambient/experimental textures.
The Classic bank has the standard spring, plate, cathedral, room, gated, inchindown, and more, and the
Ambient bank comes with various shimmer types, echo verbs, freeze, infinite, and pitch shift.
Along with the two dedicated footswitches to bypass each reverb. These are both click-less true bypass designs that use relays and can be set to buffered bypass with trails.
Price & Availability
This latest reverb from Crazy Tube Circuits retails for €325, which, considering all the routing options and the 16 reverb algorithms, makes it a bit of a steal. They have also stated that a more compact, single-engine version is coming soon.
