Have a blast from the past with tapes or stream from your favourite devices.
With the We Are Rewind GB-001, you get the best of both worlds with the ability to play cassette tapes and stream music via Bluetooth.
The French company We Are Rewind, has joined the tape revival revolution with a range of personal walkman-like cassette players, and now, a portable boombox so you can start the party in true 1980s style.
We Are Rewind GB-001
The GB-001 system delivers 104W RMS total power with its Class D amplified woofers and tweeter, allowing you to blast cassette tapes, Bluetooth devices, and there’s an Aux input to bridge the technology gap between other old and new audio devices. What’s more, there is even a 1m Vrms input for a microphone and a headphones output.
With a built-in 14.8V 3000mAH Lithium-Ion battery pack that is also easily replaceable, the GB-001 will play tapes through its speaker system for up to 10 hours and up to 15 hours on headphones. Meanwhile, if you’re playing music through the Aux input, you’ll get up to 15 hours of speaker playback and 28 hours on headphones.
In addition, the GB-001 also has a cassette playback pitch adjustment feature that can be accessed under the rear panel. Also, with the impressive-looking VU meters up front and center, you can ensure that you are recording at an optimum level when you’re creating your next mixtape.
Both Type I and Type II (chrome) cassettes are supported, and the tape deck features an emulation of the Dolby B noise reduction circuit. Although the quality of the tape deck is excellent, you also have a wide range of other playback options, and the classic treble and bass tone controls it a nice touch in the design.
