The Geddy Lee Minimoog Model-D dropped just last month, enticing and delighting synth and prog fans alike with its Rushified cherry red case, Starman logo and hot-rodded VCA plus additional collector’s items like the 10” vinyl record and signed certificate of authenticity. It’s also limited to just 500 units, making it very rare and highly desirable.
Now the Bob Moog Foundation has announced its latest raffle, this time giving away one of these fantastic synthesizers. Want to win a Geddy Lee Minimoog for yourself? Of course you do.

This latest raffle follows on from February’s, when the foundation gave away a vintage Oberheim Matrix-12. Now it’s come back to Moog – and Geddy, who signed an original Minimoog for a raffle back in 2023.
This latest raffle is for a Geddy Lee Minimoog Model-D synthesizer serial number GLMD-0233 and includes all of the package goodies, including that hand-signed certificate.
Win a Geddy Lee Minimoog: Fundraising
Why all the raffles and fundraising? The Bob Moog Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Asheville, North Carolina. Funds raised through the raffle will benefit Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, the organization’s hallmark educational project, which teaches children about the science of sound. It also supports the Moogseum, which I highlighted as one of the best synthesizer museums in the world today.
Win a Geddy Lee Minimoog: How to Enter
To win, you’ll need to buy at least one raffle ticket from the Bob Moog Foundation. Raffle tickets are $25 each, five for $100, 12 for $200, and 35 for $500. The raffle runs from 7:00 am (ET) on April 28, 2025, to 11:59 pm (ET) on May 19, 2025, and is open internationally. The winner will be announced on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
