At last Pro Tools users can enjoy the world of virtual Roland sounds inside their favourite DAW. RolandCloud 5.5 includes support for the Avid AAX plug-in format.
That took a while but previously Roland’s online collection of instruments, synthesizers and plug-ins has only been available on VST and AU platforms. This update to include Pro Tools is going to make a lot of people very happy. Roland says it’s their most commonly asked for feature request.
RolandCloud includes a whole range of virtual instruments and synthesizers that continue to expand and evolve. Currently, this includes the AIRA range of virtual System-1 and System-8 synthesizers, the Legendary range of classic synthesizers such as the SH-101, Promars, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, D-50, JV-1080 and 808 and 909 drum machines. The Tera series of huge piano and guitar sample-based instruments. The Anthology collection of sampled instruments from classic Roland keyboards. And then there’s new ideas and unexpected instruments in the Flavr series.
For $19.95 a month what appeared to be a quite decadent subscription system is turning out to be better and better value for money.
