G5230T Electromatic Sparkle Jet FT Single-Cut with Bigsby
This latest Gretsch G5230T Electromatic Sparkle Jet FT Single-Cut with Bigsby is available in either Silver Sparkle or Gold Sparkle finishes.
As the model name suggests, it comes equipped with a Bigsby B50 vibrato tailpiece as standard. This is paired with an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, which should help with keeping tuning stability solid.
Chambered
This model has a chambered mahogany body and offers classic vintage Gretsch tones via a pair of FT-5E Filter’Tron pickups. Gretsch states these will “provide classic chime with enhanced presence, clarity and note definition” and are a perfect match for the chambered body.
These pickups are controlled by a master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, and individual pickup volume controls.
Neck Specs
This model comes with a lower set mahogany neck for better access and performance, making playing a lot easier. It features a 12″ radius laurel fretboard with a set of Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.
Modern Gretsch guitars are great for players, and so expect an instrument that is enjoyable to play and write music with.

These new G5230T models are officially priced at $749.99. They look fantastic, and if you are chasing vintage Gretsch styling with modern playability, then they could be perfect for you.
They are far more affordable than the recent Paisley Penguin I wrote about, and easier to source as a standard model for 2025. Now all you have to do is choose whether to go for silver or gold.
