The Best Studio Monitors of 2025: KRK Kreate

In the affordable end of the studio monitor market, the KRK Kreate series has a range of options with features designed for musicians and content creators. Across the entire range, the monitors use rear-ported MDF enclosures with glass fibre aramid woofer cones and fabric dome tweeters. This gives the Kreate series monitors a good balance of power, dynamics, and a wide frequency range for dealing with any kind of audio material, from music to speech and sound effects used in video creation.

The Kreate series is also equipped with multipoint Bluetooth, so you can connect your laptop and smartphone simultaneously for a centralized solution. In addition, there are acoustic adjustment controls to boost or cut the highs and lows to compensate for any reflectivity or boundary issues in your listening space. Get it at Thomann.*

The Best Studio Monitors of 2025: HEDD A-CORE

In the current musical landscape, where DSP-driven studio monitors dominate the market across virtually every category, Heinz Electrodynamic Design has opted to move in a completely analogue direction with its most affordable series of speakers yet. In place of digital processing, the A-CORE series uses an advanced analogue filter board, allowing precise but natural tuning.

So far, there are two models in the A-CORE series, equipped with five and seven-inch honeycomb cone woofers and the Air Motion Transformer low-distortion tweeters, all built by hand in Berlin, Germany. Setting up the A-CORE speakers in your studio is decidedly simple, with an XLR combo port for balanced signals and an RCA input for unbalanced devices.

Despite its simplicity, you can still make acoustic adjustments of up to 6 dB with the built-in high and low shelving filters. This gives you the ability to compensate for any environmental interaction occurring in your studio. In addition, the A-CORE series can be used in vertical or horizontal configurations or mounted for the more precise positioning required in immersive setups. Get it at Thomann.*
