The Jackson Legend Series is a new limited range with four distinctive designs inspired by Randy Rhoads, Scott Ian, David Ellefson, and Marty Friedman.
Within the new Legend Series, Jackson has meticulously recreated the instruments of these mythical performers with the Signature David Ellefson CB V Concert Bass, the Signature Marty Friedman Kelly KE-1, the Randy Rhoads CD1, and the Signature Scott Ian Rhoads RR22.
Jackson Legend Series
With each of these classic designs, Jackson aims to pass the torch to a new generation of guitarists and bassists, continuing the legacy shaped by the manufacturer and artists of this ilk over the past 45 years in bands like Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne, and Anthrax.
The David Ellefson CB V Concert Bass features an alder body and maple neck with EMG 40DC and CS pickups and a 3-band EQ, giving you a clean signal that cuts through walls of guitars. Meanwhile, the HiMass 5-string bridge with open-gear Hipshot tuners allows precision, steadfast tuning no matter the hammering endured by the strings.
With the Marty Friedman Kelly KE-1, you get the same alder body and three-piece maple neck with a Seymour Duncan JB pickup for melodic shredding and a fixed Kahler 7330 bridge that allows dynamic picking and bends without losing tuning. The Randy Rhoads CD1, on the other hand, uses an ebony fingerboard with 22 enlarged frets for articulate and fluid soloing.
With the Seymour Duncan JB and 59 humbuckers, you get a contrast of screaming leads from the bridge and vintage warmth from the neck, with a six-saddle tremolo for those signature pitch dives and vibrato. Finally, the Scott Ian Rhoads RR22 uses a neck-through construction with a top-mounted Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo for dips and dives, while snapping instantly back into tune.
