t.akustik is one of Thomann’s popular in-house brands. As acoustics has always been a really expensive undertaking, t.akustik has set about making acoustic treatment a fun and affordable part of building your home studio.
t.akustik PET Parametric Absorbers
These Parametric Absorbers are constructed with fire-retardant PET, in compliance with European fire-safety standards for building materials class B-s1, d0 (DIN EN 13501-1) and class B1 (DIN 4102-1). With slats that are 25 mm thick, the Parametric Absorbers can be easily mounted to most wall surfaces, or even fixed to an additional mounting plate and suspended from the ceiling.
There are two sizes available in two different colors(anthracite and grey), including elongated 120 x 60 mm panels and 60 x 60 mm squares. This allows you to easily create a range of configurations for the walls in larger rooms, ensuring that you get the right amount of coverage for your space.
The installation process is flexible and relatively simple, as the mounting plate and slats of each panel are separate, and the plates are either mounted with glue or fixed with screws before attaching the slats. The key to the design is that the slats are numbered and create a gradient pattern to absorb the sound waves across the contours.
This allows you to target the problem areas of your room accordingly and channel the energy surrounding your ideal monitoring position or the position of your vocal microphone.
