Get all the Detals:
What’s new in the DW 9000x Series?
If you look on stages, both small an big, the likelihood of finding drum hardware from DW is high. From drum thrones to stands for snares, cymbals, and toms to hihat machines, DW have a reputation for offering some of the best hardware on the market. And their 9000 series have become somewhat of an industry standard among professional touring drummers. Its durability and ease when setting up is close to unmatched.
So, Drum Workshop took about a decade to carefully upgrade the series. And today, they’re introducing the DW 9000X series. DW collected and implemented years of feedback from professional drummers and drum techs to ensure that the new series was upgraded where they deemed it necessary, but kept what was seen as perfect.

Two innovations you’ll see across many of the new stands are AutoLock and InnerLock. With AutoLock, DW is introducing a patent-pending mechanism on cymbal booms that tightens itself, which can be a godsend, when you’re setting up your kit every night. InnerLock adds to that. It’s a new internal cable system that makes adjusting heights a matter of seconds.
DW 9000X Snare Stands
The DW 9000X series includes two snare stands: DWCP9300X and DWCP9339X Ball Mount. Each can take snares (or toms) between 10″ and 16″. Both also feature double-braced legs. The DWCP9300X model comes with asymmetrically arranged arms that can be adjusted via special joints.

For the DWCP9339X, you also get a ball joint with a sophisticated memory function that can be easily returned to its previously set position after disassembly. Both are available from Thomann*.
DW 9000X Hi-Hat Stands
The DW 9000X series also includes four hi-hat stands, two three-legged models (DWCP9500X and DWCP9500XFX) and two two-legged models (DWCP9500TX and DWCP9500XFTX).

All four models are equipped with an eccentric chain drive and can be set up and taken down quickly thanks to the ultra-quick-release hi-hat bar. The included clutch ensures a secure hold and precise positioning of the cymbals thanks to the Techlock system. In addition, the two XF models feature extended footplates. Check them out at Thomann*.
The 9000X Cymbal and Tom Stands
In addition to snare and hi-hat stands, DW’s 9000X series also coones four cymbal stands, one of which (DWCP9791X) also has the option to mount a tom. The others include a straight stand (DWCP9710XIL), a standard boom stand (DWCP9700XIL), and an extra-low adjustable boom stand (DWCP9701XIL).

These stands feature the new InnerLock AutoLock Boom Tilter features, which makes setting up the same kit every night much quicker. Furthermore, quick-release wing nuts allow for lightning-fast cymbal removal. Plus, the DW 9000x series includes the DWCP9991X Single Tom Stand and the DWCP9992X Double Tom Stand. Both offer flexible adjustment options thanks to ball joints, and the double tom stand can also accommodate a cymbal arm. Available from Thomann*.
Accessories
Accessories include the MOD Tripod Weights, which attach to the tripod legs to optimize stability in extreme conditions. Additionally, there is the 9000X AirLift Cylinder, available in short and long versions.

These gas springs can be installed in the cymbal, snare, or tom stands to adjust and lock the height with one simple hand movement, similar to drum stools.
With the InnerLock Cable System, which comes pre-installed on the cymbal stands, tom and snare stands can also be repeatedly adjusted to the same height, independent of memory clamps.
