Which Audio Interfaces Sold the Most in 2025?

Best-selling Audio Interfaces of 2025
10: Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD
The top spots among the best-selling audio interfaces in 2025 are taken by USB interfaces that focus primarily on low retail prices. This shows that price is the most important factor in customers’ purchasing decisions. The name Behringer appears more than once.

The U-Phoria UMC204HD meets this requirement naturally. Currently priced under €70, it offers two inputs, four outputs, MIDAS microphone preamps, a guitar input, and a 6.3 mm insert jack per channel for external signal processing. The converters enable sampling rates of up to 24-bit and 192 kHz. MIDI is also available, and the four RCA outputs (with an additional jack for Main OUT L/R) make this compact interface ideal for DJ applications and Ableton Live performances in clubs. It is available here at Thomann*.
9: Focusrite Scarlett 4i4
Focusrite interfaces offer excellent value for money – a concept that pays off! The Scarlett 4i4 is in ninth place. It is a USB-C audio interface with four inputs and outputs. It has Focusrite Rednet series converters, two Scarlett microphone preamps, a switchable Air function, and features such as Auto Gain, Clip Safe, and Loopback. It also includes MIDI and comes packaged in the distinctive Focusrite design. A software package is included, and the entire package is sold at a very attractive price. 8: Behringer U-Control UCA222
The Behringer U-Control UCA222 has been around for almost 16 years and continues to sell extremely well thanks to its simple design, super-compact size, and very low price. With two inputs and outputs for RCA connectors, a 48 kHz converter, an optical S/PDIF output, and a headphone jack, sometimes less is more. It is available in two colors here at Thomann*.
7: Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD
The U-Phoria UMC202HD is the seventh best-selling audio interface of 2025. It has two inputs and outputs, MIDAS microphone preamps, a guitar input, and a 24-bit, 192 kHz converter. It is essentially a simpler version of the U-Phoria UMC204HD, which ranks tenth and offers slightly more, especially in terms of outputs, for just under ten euros more. The U-Phoria UMC202HD is available at Thomann*.
6: Behringer U-Phoria UMC22
No other manufacturer is as aware of the importance of the retail price as Behringer. Consider the U-Phoria UMC22, for example, which was the sixth best-selling audio interface at Thomann in 2025. Despite the manufacturer’s wide range of USB interfaces priced below €80, this model was still very successful in 2025, even with some outdated features. The converters “only” work with 16 bits (and 48 kHz), and the second input is suitable only for instrument signals. For some, this may be perfectly adequate. With a current price of €33, the interface is very attractive. Available here at Thomann*.
5: Behringer UMC1820
Another Behringer interface ranks among our top 10 best-selling audio interfaces of 2025, according to sales figures. The UMC1820’s success comes as no surprise. If you’re looking for a lot of inputs and outputs at a low price, this is the interface for you. This 19-inch rack-format, 18 x 20 interface offers eight analog inputs with MIDAS preamps and twelve outputs (including two main outputs), plus ADAT, S/PDIF, MIDI, and two adjustable headphone outputs. The converters deliver up to 24-bit and 96 kHz, and the interface costs just €159! Buy it here at Thomann*.
4: Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD
The Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD is an affordable, desktop-format, 4-in/4-out USB audio interface, and the mid-range model in the U-Phoria series. Its converters deliver a resolution of 24 bits and up to 192 kHz. In addition to the four inputs and outputs, there are four insert paths. Of course, MIDAS preamps are included, as well as MIDI! You can switch between two pairs of monitors directly on the interface using the A/B button. The price? $95! Get the U-Phoria UMC404HD here at Thomann*.
3: Focusrite Vocaster (One & Two)
Now, let’s move on to the third best-selling audio interface of 2025. The Focusrite Vocaster series secured this spot with its One and Two models. We took the freedom of adding up the sales figures for these two models; otherwise, the list would have been too boring. Incidentally, the Vocaster One has been sold more frequently and is slightly more successful.
These two USB-C interfaces were specifically developed for content production and streaming, offering different connections depending on the model. My favorite is definitely the Vocaster Two because, for just a few dollars more, it offers a few extra features, such as two microphone inputs and Bluetooth. Compare the two at Thomann*; you’ll also find a few bundles.
2: Focusrite Scarlet Solo
A few years ago, we published a similar list of the top manufacturers, and Focusrite was at the top of that list, too. It’s safe to say, then, that Focusrite is one of the most successful manufacturers of audio interfaces. The Scarlett Solo is currently available in two versions at Thomann. The third generation is more affordable, while the fourth generation has been slightly revised to include new preamps and converters, as well as features such as Auto Gain and Clip Safe. It also has new colored rings around the gain controls.
However, the essential features remain the same: It has 24-bit and 192 kHz resolution, one microphone input, one instrument/line input, two outputs, and a headphone jack. Personally, I would prefer two line-compatible inputs, and many others seem to agree, as evidenced by its number one ranking. Nevertheless, it’s a great interface that you can check out here at Thomann*.
1: Focusrite Scarlet 2i2
Drum roll, please! The number one best-selling audio interface of 2025 is the Focusrite Scarlet 2i2. The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is the most popular USB interface. This compact USB-C audio interface is compatible with both Mac and PC and features two high-quality mic/instrument/line inputs and two outputs. One of the special features of this series is the switchable Air function, which adds a little more high end to recordings, in the style of the manufacturer’s highly acclaimed ISA preamps, if desired.

The third and fourth generation versions of this interface are also still available from Thomann. In fact, the third generation is selling slightly better than the more recent, revised version. The price-to-performance ratio is simply too good! Check out both versions at Thomann*.
