Behringer BM-13 Phaser: Moogerfooger-Style Phaser
Another Moog recreation from Behringer
The Behringer BM-13 Phaser is the latest announcement from the company and is modeled after the Moog Phaser pedal. An analog 12-stage phaser pedal, which was first issued in the 1990s.
Behringer BM-13 Phaser
Behringer has cloned the Moog MF-103 Phaser pedal, and the new BM-13 Phaser is pretty much a direct copy of the original pedal; it even looks just like the 1990s model.
It’s a vintage-style 12-stage phaser with control voltage connectivity options, so suitable for more than just guitar (it will work great on just about any signal).
Last month, we saw the MURF BOX from Behringer, so could we get a new pedal release based on Moog’s MoogerFooger pedals for the rest of 2025? I guess we will have to wait and see.
12-Stage Phaser
This recreation has the same Output Level, Drive, Sweep, Resonance, LFO Rate, and Amount control knobs as the Moog original. Along with a switch to toggle between 6-stage and 12-stage phasing, and one for the LFO Speed.
In addition to the main out, there’s also an aux out. This output delivers the signal in phase. This means you can instantly transform any narrow mono signal into a stereo signal. You can also split the signal and send it to two different amps.
If you’re using a modular synth or semi-modular setup, you can either control the pedal from other synths (for example, remotely control LFO speed or resonance) or use signals from the pedal itself for
modulation. This all makes the new pedal super flexible!
Affordable Analog
I love a good phaser ( I must have at least 12 analog phasers currently), so this new pedal appeals to me personally. Especially, as it is so affordable.
I already have the Behringer Dual Phase, which is currently on offer at Thomann for 54% off!
Who is the for?
I would say this new recreation of a classic phaser circuit is going to appeal to producers and musicians from all backgrounds, and it is very affordable.
Whatever you think of Behringer and their almost 100% direct clones of old products, this does open up the world to a lot of musicians who cannot afford the now-discontinued originals.
Chances are, I will buy one myself at this price.
Price & Availability
